At Hope and Play, we believe that every child has the right to safely play, learn and grow in a family environment, in an atmosphere of happiness, love and understanding. We are dedicated to helping add hope and play to the lives of children who are denied these most basic rights. With a focus on Palestinian children in the Occupied Palestinian lands and refugee camps, we've been delivering our mission by supporting their education with textbooks, laptops and children's libraries, by supporting their play with playgrounds, and always working with local organisations which support their healthy development. We occasionally undertake actions to support children where there is an immediate humanitarian need. Most recently, we have been focussing on helping Gaza's inhumanly traumatised children to return to mainstream education and society with a programme of psychosocial support, educational intervention and play. Our goal is at an early stage to inject more hope and fun into these children's lives, especially where much of the environment around them may deny them both. We want all children to have hope for a happy future, and to support them create a realistic chance of making that happen. We deliver our work through local communities and grassroots organisations, leveraging their local knowledge and skills, helping to provide them with support and employment, and always looking for opportunities to train additional graduates to increase availability of skills in the areas we work.
