We help our partners reimagine their work by combining rigorous research, technical assistance, and knowledge of evidence-informed strategies. We infuse creativity, innovation, and passion into our work, taking an integrated approach to system transformation to help our partners operationalize meaningful change. To achieve this mission, we work to: • Educate criminal legal systems regarding the efficacy of evidence-based systems, data-based decisions and practices, • Implement evidence-based strategies and systems that reduce over-reliance on incarceration, • Assist agencies and jurisdictions who use incarceration to develop and implement programs that provide system-involved individuals with the skills needed to reduce their risk of recidivism, • Further the improvement of the administration of criminal legal services by serving as a resource to public and private sector agencies on policy and program design, implementation, training, research and evaluation, and • Promote and advocate rational public policy and practical strategies for criminal and social justice issues.
