ISTAR is a non-profit organization affiliated with the University of Pennsylvania dedicated to educating the public, our elected officials, and leaders from around the world, on emerging threats to national and international security with an emphasis on global public health. ISTAR‘s research capabilities are uniquely suited to identify risks to global order and peace that require greater attention, such as the spread of infectious diseases. Our scholars bring a multidisciplinary approach to resolving the myriad problems we face. ISTAR‘s staff includes, but is not limited to, lawyers, medical doctors, business leaders, engineers, philosophers, and political scientists.
