The MDAE curriculum is a post financial crisis curriculum designed to equip students to solve dynamic real world problems. Its unique design allows students to specialize in post-graduate Economics within a compact 1-year program. Proprietary case studies on global issues & Econ Labs (workshops led by practitioners on the coursework) are integral to the teaching style and provide vital hands-on training. The cutting-edge curriculum has been developed under Chairman Lord Meghnad Desai, (Professor Emeritus, LSE) who has 30+ years of teaching experience, and by renowned economists such as - Dr. Ajit Ranade (Chief Economist, Birla Group), Dr. Tushar Poddar (Chief India Economist, Goldman Sachs), Mr. Niranjan Rajadhyaksha (Executive Editor, Mint), and Dr. Mangal Goswami (Deputy Director, IMF Institute). First, students build a rigorous foundation through a five week course in Mathematics/Statistics and Intermediate Economics. Second, they develop an analytical toolkit through an intensive program in the core areas of Macroeconomics, Microeconomics & Econometrics. Third, students apply this toolkit to specialize in a field of their choice (Finance, Public Policy, or Data Analytics). Fourth, students contribute to increasing the existing body of knowledge through a dissertation which builds research and writing skills.
