Executive’s where highly experienced in their disciplines, expert trainers, and committed to recruiting and mentoring staff. Cross-functional leaders intentionally mentored across disciplines for group cohesion and the additional professional development value. The SRC was initially funded by a grant to establish a self-sustaining, independent entity within Anderson University; it was the first of a number of initiatives. The center itself closed in 2017 when the founding director, Sam Blanchard, left the university. Students continue to benefit from computing companies locating on campus. The faculty involved continue rewarding professional career in academics and/or industry.
