Ock Pop Tok is one of the leading international producers of premium Lao textiles. Based in the UNESCO heritage city of Luang Prabang, Laos, we produce a wide range of beautiful silk, hemp and cotton textiles in both traditional and contemporary designs. The vision of Ock Pop Tok is to empower local women to use their traditional handicraft skills to create a sustainable future for themselves and their families. In addition Ock Pop Tok is committed to educating the wider world about the rich tradition of Lao textiles. Ock Pop Tok consists of two stores in central Luang Prabang retailing our products and our Living Crafts Centre located 2km from the town centre, in a stunning location on the banks of the Mekong. At the Living Crafts Centre we offer free tours to all visitors where they can meet our weavers and see them in action. We offer a wide range of classes in all aspects of weaving and dyeing. We also have a guesthouse and restaurant in our grounds which all adds up to a unique tourist destination in Luang Prabang. Ock Pop Tok is recommended every year in all the major guidebooks such as Lonely Planet and Rough Guide and we've won several textile awards over the years.
