The Academy opened its doors for students as The Salon Professional Academy on September 18, 2006. In 2014 we began a new phase of our journey and rebranded as The Summit Salon Academy. We are proud to now be closely aligned with the Summit Salon Business Center, recognized as a leader in providing business-consulting services in all facets of the beauty industry. We constantly strive to evaluate our curriculum and systems to keep up to date with the ever changing needs of the beauty industry and today’s business climate. We are affiliated with some of the most sought after brands in the industry. We are a Redken Premier school and a Dermalogica Partnership school. We’re proud of the depth of experience of our staff and ownership. We have worked in all facets of the beauty industry as stylists, estheticians, makeup artists, salon owners, distributor consultants, marketing and sales consultants, platform artists, regional trainers and more. We have a long history with the Summit Salon Business Center. One of our owners, Michael Shea, was a consultant with SSBC traveling the country for eight years, helping salons to grow their business and staff. We believe this gives us a unique perspective on what it takes to succeed in the industry. We are eager to share that knowledge with our students and passionate about helping them graduate with the skills necessary to propel them forward in the industry.
