Services Diverse Abilities offer include: Children’s Team - enables families to cope day to day in the knowledge that their child is safe, supported & cared for by running a specialist school for children aged between two and 19, offering short breaks, overnight respite and support in the home, plus holiday & after-school activities. Opportunities are also given for siblings to attend play sessions with their brother or sister while parents can benefit from a one-to-one befriending service and parent support group. Adult Services - enables adults with a disability to live in their own home through our supported living service and participate in a range of activities during the day at a day opportunities service. The aim is to enable adults with a disability to get the most out of life. Advice Team – the team seeks to support people with disabilities and health conditions, and their families or carers, with guidance and representation on a number of medical and legal needs.The service ensures that the person with a disability or health condition has the right support they are entitled to and the team support people through a complex and often very stressful time.
