The Songwriting Charity
www.songwritingcharity.orgWe deliver themed (e.g. anti-bullying, curriculum, school values) songwriting and music creation workshops in primary, secondary, special schools and community groups across England and Wales. Our workshops are fun and empowering experiences for all who take part, boosting confidence, self esteem and wellbeing through participation. Our workshops are inclusive, safe, supportive and creative learning experience, connecting children and young people with creative arts, music and education professionals. Key programmes: Bully Beat has been designed to enthuse participants about the process of lyric writing, singing, music arranging and contemporary production whilst promoting a serious anti-bullying message. Participants are encouraged to express their thoughts on ‘bullying’ and its effects on all, boosting self-confidence and self-belief in a supportive and creative environment through participation. By listening to one another, respecting friends and working together as a team they create something that will resonate across your school. Encore Curriculum is our wraparound workshop experience and creative learning programme to enliven and enrich your schools music curriculum or projects through songwriting and multi-media technologies. CPD session for staff, to a jingle or sampling workshop for children and young people - everything is possible with songwriting, music and music production! Past projects have included: Installation and training to use your own recording studio for school projects Sound sampling and sound effects creation Writing and scoring jingles School celebration songs Turning school/community choirs into songwriting choirs! Learning to use music technology Teacher training/NQT workshops …. you name it, Encore Curriculum gives you (and us) the creative freedom to make it happen!
