For years, Boise To Bukavu's mission was to provide to support to the family of a local Congolese refugee, Fidel Nshombo, whom themselves were living as refugees in Kampala, Uganda. We were able to feed them, house them and send all the kids to school until 2016 when they were relocated to a lovely home and government supported education in Canada. Fidel has a new dream now. He recently visited his hometown of Bukavu, Congo and found such poverty that he's now seeking to build a school there.
