The Women's Intellectual Property Lawyers Association (WIPLA) is a network of IP Law professionals, currently focused in the San Francisco Bay Area, working together to provide a forum for interaction, communication and advocacy in our daily practices. Founded in 2007, our group is comprised of nearly 100 members in varied stages of their careers, from students passionate about patent, trademark and copyright law matters, to solo practitioners, partners and associates at firms of all sizes, in-house counsel, and government agents. Our group aims to develop a network of resources promoting the honor and dignity of women in the intellectual property legal profession. Through meaningful interactions and substantive updates, we strive to advance the benefits enjoyed by our members and bolster a supportive environment where women can advance in their lives, professionally and personally.
