Starlight Children's Foundation brightens the lives of seriously ill and hospitalised children and young people by replacing pain, fear and stress with fun, joy and laughter. Since 1988, Starlight has expanded to become the broadest reaching children’s charity in Australia. There is now a Starlight Express Room in every children’s hospital in the country, where Captain Starlight helps kids forget about everything they're going through and just be kids. We're one of the top 50 Best Places to Work in Australia in 2020, plus we were selected as an Employer of Choice in The Australian Business Awards, 2018. We're the only charity to receive the AON Hewitt Best Employer award in 2012 and 2014, plus in 2017 we ranked 16th in the Best Places to Work study. We're also the Australian Financial Review's Most Innovative Company in the Government, Education and NFP category. In 2019, Starlight granted 500 life-changing Wishes with 100% of families recommending a Wish experience to other families. Starlight also delivered over 610,000 positive Starlight experiences to seriously ill children, young people and their families.
