The Linn-Mar School Foundation raises private funds for public education for the Linn-Mar Community School District. Since 1985 we’ve supported one of the fastest growing, top quality school districts in Iowa. With the support of our giving community, the Foundation helps ensure that Linn-Mar’s tradition of excellence extends into the 21st century with innovative new programs and measurable success in fundamental curriculum areas. Public funding and taxation cannot adequately meet all of the demands of maintaining a “school of choice” particularly in our rapidly growing district serving nearly 8,000 students in twelve K-12 schools. Community support through the Foundation make the difference between an ordinary educational experience and an excellent one The Foundation’s mission is to support Linn-Mar’s tradition of educational excellence by channeling private support into innovative new programs and curriculum areas. Its current priorities align with the district’s goal to provide students with the skills, knowledge and expertise they need to succeed in work and life in the 21st century. We are focused on enriching the student educational experience and helping bridge gaps in school budgets. Our support is centered on funding classroom, curriculum and enrichment programs including music & literacy programs, STEM education initiatives, innovative classroom tools and technology, emerging curriculum and under served areas to name a few. Proudly for over 35 years, generous Linn-Mar School Foundation donors have invested their resources to help grow and support classroom projects and curriculum needs. These gifts have impacted every school and many cherished programs at Linn-Mar and have helped fund a variety of diverse programs in areas such as classroom technology, performing arts, field trips, literacy and media center materials, to name a few. These initiatives make a significant difference in our students’ lives and preparing them for future success.
