Appaloosa Festival is D.C.'s Roots Music Festival, a great outdoors experience, held every Labor Day weekend. Nestled in the Shenandoah Valley, just one hour from Washington, D.C., our next Appaloosa is September 3-4, 2022. Hosted by D.C. band, Scythian, Appaloosa features local, national, and international bands, and musical workshops by top artists. Family-friendly, 10% of the festival proceeds go to charity. Appaloosa is just a few minutes from the northern entrance to Shenandoah National Park, and Skyline Drive, and less than a mile from the Shenandoah River. There is camping available on site, plus opportunities in the immediate vicinity to hike, canoe, fish, and bike.
