Kino Klassika creates programs of restorations, publications, art commissions and events to spotlight Russian language cinema – a tradition that remains largely invisible to audiences in the UK. We build rewarding partnerships between arts institutions, sponsors and artists to identify shared values and opportunities. When cinemas went dark in 2020 we programmed a free weekly online film season, and in February 2021, we launched our own streaming platform, Klassiki. Klassiki houses a permanent curated collection of classic film from Russia, Ukraine, the Caucasus and Central Asia, as well as a weekly contemporary films.
