Formidable Joy fundraises and provides access to clean water in Malawi, Africa. We work with local organizations to identify schools, villages and health centers in need. Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world, where many communities rely on dirty water sources - from rivers and streams to hand-dug holes. We drill boreholes (water wells) that provide communities with clean water - many for the very first time. We install solar water systems that allow for running water, and we rehabilitate old, broken pumps installed by other NGOs and/or the government. Access to clean water transforms lives - allows girls to stay in school, gives women back their time, provides health, and increases the vitality of a community.
