The Triangle Club of Montgomery County is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit volunteer organization which works in cooperation with local high schools to recognize and assist students who excel in scholarship, sports and service. Each year, the Triangle Club awards college scholarships to high school seniors nominated by their high school administrators. Three top high school “Senior Stars” are chosen to receive awards of $3,000, $2,000 or $1,000. There are also three specially designated awards of $500 given to runners up. All nominees receive an award of at least $250. The scholarships provided by The Triangle Club are partially–funded by an annual basketball tournament, held in December at Montgomery County Community College. *** Founded in 1963 by community leaders and educators, the Triangle Club of Montgomery County has since awarded hundreds of college scholarships to outstanding students. An all-volunteer board of directors, comprised of local community and business leaders, continues to spearhead this effort.
