The Health Data Exchange is a ‘for profit’ social enterprise designed to lower the barrier to entry for global medical and wellbeing research and treatment development. We reduce the time and cost for building research cohorts from years and millions of dollars to hours. Impact: By lowering the barrier to entry, we open the sector to a significantly wider pool of innovators, ushering in a new generation of treatments, products and services. (drug research, devices, wearables, apps and AI) The Vision There are two components to the Vision 1. Equipping the largest possible cohort of patients with their health and behavioural data (Medical records, genome, fitness, nutrition, social etc). This enables them to share this ‘complete picture’ of their health with their doctors and specialists: This results in more accurate diagnosis, a more personalised treatment and better outcomes. 2. Enabling patients to share this data with healthcare innovators and researchers including the growing field of medical AI.
