Beyond The Orphanage is a transparent non-profit organisation that seeks to stem the cycle of poverty, boost community wellbeing and provide a unique continuous care model that enables children to be liberated from dangerous circumstances and to transform their lives. In “high-risk” developing nations, Beyond the Orphanage offers a “safe haven” for at risk children. A safe haven is a loving, caring and supportive home. We fund food, education, clothing and healthcare on a continuous basis until the children become well-adjusted, self-reliant adults, and graduate our programs with their first jobs or apprenticeships. All children are cared for using our unique model of continuous Foster and Kinship care within the guidance and governance of Beyond The Orphanage’s child protection policy throughout their childhood and into early adulthood; and we provide training and support for the Next of Kin, or Foster Carer throughout the child’s years in the program. Our unique self-sufficiency business model is scalable because it provides local vetted carers who are passionate about helping children; with access to funding, support, and training to enable them to set up their own programs and learn how to make them a self-sufficient entity.
