As the only all-girls public school in Chicago, the Young Women’s Leadership Charter School (YWLCS) engages almost 350 students in rigorous college preparatory learning with a focus on math, science, and technology - subjects where women, especially women of color, are seriously underrepresented. Located on Chicago’s Near South Side, YWLCS is a public non-selective charter school and does not charge tuition, does not choose students based on merit and is open to all girls of the right age living in Chicago. We are proud that 100% of our Class of 2013, Class of 2014, and Class of 2015 young leaders have graduated and were accepted to college. Girls of Today, Leaders of Tomorrow!
