M2D2 (Massachusetts Medical Device Development) is an incubator providing a wet and dry labs, office and meeting space, and state-of-the-art equipment for medical device, medtech, and biotech startup companies to grow. (At rents that are a fraction of those in the "617.") As New England's only BARDA DRIVe incubator we are uniquely positioned to connect startups to generous government funding for their innovations in the infectious disease, health security, and "solving sepsis" spaces. Through the Center for Advancing Point of Care Technologies (CAPCaT) in Heart, Lung, Blood, and Sleep Disorders — a joint initiative with UMass Medical School — support development and testing of promising “late-stage” point of care technologies that can be rapidly deployed to enhance the diagnosis, monitoring, management and/or treatment of heart, lung, blood and sleep disorders (NHLBI), with an additional interest in projects that incorporate complementary and integrative health approaches (NCCIH). Every spring our annual signature event, the $200K Challenge, attracts global life sciences innovators who pitch their products in competition for a share of $200,000 in sponsor-provided, in-kind resources, as well as generous cash awards. (2021 was the Challenge's 10th Anniversary.) Subscribe to the M2D2 e-newsletter for twice-weekly updates on funding and mentoring opportunities, news, and events that can help you advance your innovation and your business.
