Uptown Greenville is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization established to develop plans and implement actions necessary to revitalize and to ensure continued growth to the Uptown Business District of Greenville, North Carolina. One of the key efforts by Uptown Greenville, working with the city was the removal of the section of Evans that was made into a sidewalk mall in 1974.
