We are building a Global Distribution System for the Rental Industry! A Global Distribution System (GDS) is a computerized network system that enables transactions between Rental industry service providers, mainly short and long-term properties, resorts, car rental companies, and travel agencies. As technology evolves within the Rental industry, integrating systems, services and booking platforms have become one of the biggest hurdles within the industry. In 2020, RentalHub started building an API integration platform to make these integrations easier, faster and less costly for property management systems, channels, listing sites and proptech providers. With the platform having launched in 2021 and after a number of integrations, we felt that there still needs to be a more scalable way of accessing inventory and managing the booking process across multiple platform. We feel that by creating a Global Distribution System specifically for the Rental industry, we will be able to customize the necessary features to handle the unique processes of the industry.
