Tigres GmbH
www.tigres-plasma.dePlasma for perfect adhesion We make plasma for your surfaces TIGRES GmbH has been a leader in the field of atmospheric pressure plasma treatment since 1993. Our system solutions for activating, ultra-fine cleaning and coating surfaces are being used in the most varied industries all around the world. Many materials used in the automotive, aerospace, electrical, medical, consumer appliances, printing, textile and packaging industries are modified with our equipment before further processing. Surface cleaning Manufacturing processes often leave fine organic residue on surfaces. Plasma ultra-fine cleaning gets rid of the residue. The energy input splits the organic compounds, transforms them to the gas phase and sucks them into the exhaust system. It is a dry chemical process, allowing a coating to be applied immediately. Surface activation To be able to successfully bond, coat, print or paint polymers and metals, the surface must first meet a few requirements. It has to be very clean and has to be sufficiently active to form an adhesive bond with the coating material. Plasma pretreatment takes care of both of these requirements: The reactive plasma species transform the finest organic layers to the gas phase during ultra-fine cleaning. And with polymers, the functional groups described above are bonded to the outer-most molecular layer, the surface polarity increases and the prerequisite for adhesive bonding with the applied material is fulfilled. Surface coating Adding special precursors to the discharging plasma stream enables layers of customized materials to be applied to plastics and metals. The following finishes can be applied: Corrosion-resistant coating Antibacterial coating Antireflex coating Scratch-resistant coating Barrier coating Adhesive coating Test ink
