“Justice will not be served until those who are unaffected are as outraged as those who are..” — Benjamin Franklin In 2020, the global pandemic kept much of the world homebound and unable to escape repeated reminders of the devastating consequences of systemic racism. Now, millions of people are realizing, often for the first time, that racism is real, it's pervasive, and it's profoundly damaging to us all. But now that more people recognize the problem, how do we solve it? The Ally League’s mission is to unite against racism and help people shift from empathy for those impacted by racism to action that dismantles it. So many have been paralyzed by headlines, unsure of what is happening and what can be done about it. Believing racism is wrong isn't enough - it is time to change our attitudes, behaviors, and systems. The Ally League approaches our mission by promoting and supporting Black-owned businesses and business owners. We amplify the reach of small businesses through sales of curated gift boxes filled with high quality products procured from local, Black and other minority entrepreneurs. We also offer allyship workshops that give people an opportunity to practice allyship skills in an environment free of judgment so that they can put those skills to use in the real world with confidence.
