Humans are born with emotional intelligence (EI) mainly comprising of three skills: emotional awareness, thinking & problem solving and managing emotions. The concept of emotional intelligence is sometimes referred to as emotional quotient (EQ). The world’s perspective of a machine’s intelligence is artificial intelligence (AI) and the integration of EI with AI is what has created today’s wave of Emotional Artificial Intelligence (EAI). Sukshi believes in embedding machines with EQ to develop EAI as it provides considerable value in different applications like e-commerce, customer services, health, education etc., and any step in this direction will yield by-products of significant intellectual and economic value. Our focus lies in research to create new algorithms that go beyond deep learning to perform cognitive tasks in a way that is similar to how the biological brain thinks.
