Mothers' Day Movement's (MDM) mission is to shift Mother's Day spending to help mothers and their children both domestically and globally. Since 2011, MDM has raised over $850,000 to help women and children in the areas of education, maternal health, hunger, clean water and human trafficking. 100% of funds raised go directly to the charity. Mothers' Day Movement (MDM) was founded by a small group of women who believe in making a difference for women around the globe. We were inspired by Half the Sky, a book by Nicholas Kristof and Sheryl WuDunn, which chronicles the oppression of women and girls in the developing world. We know that, with support, women become empowered and their lives, the lives of their children and of their communities are forever changed.
