We are a non-profit-making social enterprise created to bring safety awareness and self defence education to women and children across the UK. Elaine and Julie are both personal safety specialists who trained in the US with a leading self defence organisation - RAD and radKIDS Inc. We are currently working with community and voluntary groups in Greater Manchester and West Yorkshire delivering courses and workshops to children aged 3-12 and women aged 14+. Our work with women focuses on giving them the skills and confidence to take control of their personal safety without compromising their freedom. We help women reduce risks to their safety and teach them simple but effective physical techniques to escape from an attack. radKIDS is our children's course which uses games and fun activities to reinforce safety messages and empowers children to keep themselves safe. We explore issues around: emergencies; keeping safe at home and out and about; dog safety; fire safety and dealing with bullies. We also teach children some basic physical techniques to use if someone tries to hurt them.
