The Town of Rutland is a local government entity located in Jefferson County, New York. The population of the town is 3,060–last recorded by the 2010 census. Rutland is located just east of the City of Watertown and southwest of Fort Drum. The Town of Rutland includes the entirety of Felts Mills, Harpers Ferry, Rutland Center, Rutland Hollow, Rutland Lake, Tylerville and Underwood Hill as well as parts of Black River and Sandy Creek.
