The Consortium “Piacenza Alimentare” was founded in 1980 by the local Chamber of Commerce and since then it has played a fundamental role in the local economy by setting in motion a process of internationalization of Piacenza small and medium-sized agri-food companies. Following a solid and steady growth, Piacenza Alimentare has reached an important result: it is the largest agri-food export Consortium in Italy, and at present it gathers more than ninety companies, which are renowned for their reliability and tradition, but most of all for the quality of their products, including those which are guaranteed by specific safeguard Consortiums.
