Open Road Press was established in 2012 by Tim and Debbie Bishop to publish and promote their first co-authored book, Two Are Better: Midlife Newlyweds Bicycle Coast to Coast. Two Are Better is an inspirational story of love, life change, and faith--set within a cross-country "honeymoon on bicycles" for these first-timers to marriage and bicycle touring. The Bishops have since written and published three other books. Bicycle Touring How-To: What We Learned describes how they prepared for and conducted their first long-distance, self-supported bicycle tour. Released in 2016, Wheels of Wisdom: Life Lessons for the Restless Spirit brings plenty of adventure, insights, inspiration, and motivation to readers In it, you will find 52 "aha moments" from the Bishops' over 10,000 miles of self-supported, cross-country bicycle touring across America. Wheels of Wisdom has won first-place book awards in Inspiration, Devotional, Christian Nonfiction, and Christian Inspirational. Simultaneous with the release of Wheels of Wisdom came Metaphors In Motion: Wisdom from the Open Road, with eight more lessons like those found in Wheels of Wisdom. In 2014, Open Road Press published an ebook entitled Hedging Commodity Price Risk: A Small Business Perspective by Tim Bishop. Tim's hedging book explains a complex topic in plain, easy-to-understand language with practical examples. The book was converted to print in 2019 under the title Hedging Demystified: How to Balance Risk and Protect Profit, at which time the e-book was rebranded using the new title and cover.
