Our mission is to use research knowledge and technology expertise to analyse, design and develop innovative algorithms and flexible software solutions for the analysis and the visual exploration of data and for knowledge extraction in both scientific and industrial environment. DataMind is a young and innovative ICT startup, founded in May 2006 and located inside the Scientific and Technological Park of Udine “Luigi Danieli” (link: http://www.friulinnovazione.it). The founders are four former researchers in Physics and Computer Science that were working together in two different astrophysical experiments at the Department of Physics of the University of Udine, where they decided to cooperate and to create a company whose aim was to develop scientific software. The opportunity offered by the business incubator Techno Seed (link: http://www.friulinnovazione.it/projects/techno-seed), part of the Friuli Innovazione consortium, made it possible for the group to write the Business Plan and to realize the business idea, which proved to be right and awarded in late 2012 with the “BeStartup 2012” prize. The company provides software products and consultancies in scientific, medical and industrial fields, offering highly innovative solutions to reach very high standards. DataMind activities are focused on consultancies services, technological transfer and advanced software development.
