Le Jardin ! If you already have your ways in the Medina, you will certainly know the Café des epices,a delightful spot, perfect for a break on shopping wanderings in the souk. Now you should add « Le Jardin » to your notebook, the new place in the Medina by Kamal Laftimi. Le Jardin is a large courtyard enclosed in a 17th-century mansion, two steps away from the Terrasse des Épices and on the cross roads between Dar el Bacha and Riad Laârouss. Kamal Laftimi and interior designer Anne Favier have reinvented this very beautiful house in the Sidi Abdelaziz quarter. They found it in ruin, and renovated it in tones of green, adding lots of plants, trees and water features, into a small oasis…A cool 1960s décor imagined in harmony with all the Moroccan crafts, creates a very contemporary feel. In this shaded garden we can eat, we can have a snack, or when night falls we can watch arthouse movies in black and white in open air. Le Jardin, a place of culture but also of party, can be privatised for spécial évents. Salads, organic food and delicious sweetmeats can be enjoyed from 9am until 11pm.
