Founded in 1988, Zigen Fund is one of China’s oldest and most respected grass-roots NGOs to build blueprints in rural China for sustainable social impact, for government and majority systems to adopt. The founder Pat Yang and dedicated teams in China, USA, HK, and Taiwan train and develop rural leaders to implement ZigenEco-green Schools and Zigen Eco-green Villages all over China. Over the past 30 years, over 130,000 girls have been supported by Zigen scholarships to serve as the first female school teacher, healthcare worker, or village leader in their home villages.
