Our vision is that all children achieve success in life. We partner with parents/guardians, volunteers, and others in the community and hold ourselves accountable for each child in our program achieving: • Higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships • Avoidance of risky behaviors • Educational success Since beginning in 1960 when we served approximately 25 children in the local community, the program has grown to nearly 200 boys and girls annually in southeastern Wisconsin. We provide outcome-based mentoring opportunities in the community and hope to expand to include school-based mentoring as well. We also have developed collaborative relationships with Racine Area Manufacturers and Commerce, Racine Unified School District, Kenosha Unified School District, the Kenosha Chamber of Commerce, Carthage College, the Corporate Volunteer Council of Racine, the Kenosha Public Museums, the Boys and Girls Club and Love Inc. in Burlington, Wisconsin. We are in need to volunteer mentors ("Bigs"), especially male mentors. 80% of the children on our waiting list are boys.
