Nonprofit housing corporation What is the ORKZ? The ORKZ, which stands for Old Roman Catholic Hospital in Groningen is a combined residential building with about 250 residents. Once the ORKZ the biggest squat of the Netherlands, now the property for a low price "hired" by a housing association. The residents are still responsible for all maintenance on the property. Besides a large variety of living spaces in the ORKZ various studios, workshops and rehearsal rooms for rent. Also in the ORKZ a cinema, a pub, a concert hall and an exhibition space located.
