(GMF) was incorporated as a Nonprofit Public Benefit Corporation with the State of California on April 28, 2016. The GMF was granted Federal income tax exemption under Internal Revenue Code IRC Section 501 (c) (3) on October 21, 2016. GMF Objectives: 1) Provide education on geologic maps that includes the uses and benefits of these vital data sets and interpretations, plus teaching map reading and map making skills. Educational opportunities are provided through Geo-hikes (open to the public), professional geologic field trips, and various courses such as ICMAPS.
