Minnesota Molecular is a small company with big ideas, first hand knowledge of lab work and the tools to do it right. In 1996, company founder Robin Keith took 27 years of lab experience and a Master's Degree in Molecular Biology and created Hi-Lo DNA Marker. The product is a wide range marker that comes ready to use and is stable for five years at room temperature. It has seven separate plasmids digested with EcoR1 and combined to produce a ladder of 14 bands of known size. Hi-Lo DNA Marker was developed in response to expensive ladders with uneven, hard to remember banding patterns containing wide gaps that often degraded after a month or so. The industry needed a stable, affordable solution and Minnesota Molecular has made delivering this product their number one priority. Originally tested by Robin's co-workers, the product is being used in hundreds of labs around the world.
