Our Valve Repair and Modification Division includes the largest facility of its kind in Canada. As the “authorized” repair/modification center for numerous valve companies, Universe services range from hydro-testing, trim changes and extensions to full valve refurbishing back to OEM specifications. Our Engineering Department ensures we maintain the valve integrity/design to the latest industry standards. Universe Machining and Welding Division specializes in working on some of the biggest & most unique components in Western Canada. Our large and diverse capacities enable us to also take on a wide variety of related work including CNC production manufacturing, laser heat treating & cladding, robotic & B pressure welding, surface grinding, fabricating, drilling and millwrighting services. Universe Machine has numerous proven procedures and certification including ISO 9001:2015, APEGA and ABSA. Universe Machine Products Division designs and manufactures specialized Oilfield & Forestry Products including the following: • Open & Closed Mouth compact Hydraulic Tubing & Casing Power Tongs, offered in a diverse range to meet Customer demand. Engineered, patented and tested to exceed today's tough requirements. Designed smaller and easily maneuverable with innovative safety features. • Unique and innovative Hydraulic and Manual Backups compatible with our brand, and other competitors’ Power Tong units. • Bucking Units, designed to make up & break out pipes horizontally for pipe yards etc. • Pneumatic Kelly Spinners utilize air power and Friction Bite Units help reduce pipe damage. • Hydraulic Power Units, diesel or electrical driven, power our equipment. • Computerized Torque Monitoring Units measure and control torque as required. • Ruggedly designed Rotary Hogs in a range of sizes capable of shredding all types of wood & waste. • Valve Pressure Test Stands.
