We are an AmeriCorps program that connects young people to a 10 month apprenticeship with a nonprofit. Our goal is to build both the capacity of an organization and the personal capacity of that young person. Public Allies is changing the face and practice of leadership in communities across the country by demonstrating our conviction that everyone can lead, and that lasting social change results when citizens of all backgrounds step up, take responsibility, and work together.
