Founded in January 2018, The Other Songs has evolved into an established independent music group, spanning six companies and representing a wide roster of global talent. The Other Songs label and management was founded in 2018, alongside electronic imprint, Another Rhythm. In 2019, The Other Songs Publishing was founded, administered by Kobalt Music. 2021 saw the formation of international indie label supergroup BLENDED Entertainment, The Other Songs (UK), Unity Group (FR) and Wasted Talent (GER). 2022 sees The Other Songs venture into Web3, with the launch of a virtual talent division, Songchain with Pixar veteran Andrew Gordon. The Other Songs is the brainchild of brothers Alastair and Billy Webber, former A&Rs at Island Records and Warner Music. Joined by Sophia Humphreys, ex-Universal Music, as COO and an expert marketing team, The Other Songs’ artists and songwriters have been streamed over 700 million times, including 3x Platinum Certified single “Pump It Up” by Endor, 4x Gold Certified smash “Following The Sun” by SUPER-Hi & NEEKA, and currently “Ritmo” by Raffa FL, which is en route to being a summer 2022 hit. The Other Songs has always believed in the importance of bringing the music community together. In April 2017, before the company was founded, The Other Songs became an infamous, regular live event with over 250 songwriters and artists, including legends Nile Rodgers, David Foster, AR Rahman, Joan Armatrading, Cathy Dennis and many more, with thousands of industry creatives in attendance. The Other Songs has always been very vocal about the unfair streaming splits for songwriters. A % of the master from The Other Songs' label share is given to each songwriter on every release where it is applicable.
