Artistic License Films
www.artlic.comThe job Artistic License Films did on COLD FEVER was nothing short of incredible. You took a small Icelandic road movie with a Japanese star (the first Icelandic movie ever released theatrically in the U.S.) and got us a 10 week run at the Angelika in New York, 150 dates in cinemas all around the U.S. and Canada and, ultimately, total admissions of more than 50,000. In my opinion, companies like Sony Classics and October Films would not have done as well with this film. On a much smaller scale, you helped us get a theatrical release for Chri Munch's COLOR OF A BRISK AND LEAPING DAY. You arranged for the film to play in leading calendar houses in all the major U.S. cities and got exposure and terrific reviews for a film that without Artistic License Films, would never have been seen in cinema. I have frequently recommended your services to independent producers in the past and plan to continue to do so in the future. Without the work of companies like Artistic License Films, there would be no future for independent films in America. Jim Stark.
