www.4-hkenya.comThe Four H Foundation (Kenya) [4-H Kenya] was founded with inspiration from the Global family of 4-H and the Global Clover Network. Its main purpose is to empower Kenya’s youth with the necessary skills and supportive environment they need in order to realize their potential to address Kenya’s and Africa’s food security and livelihood challenges. The foundation is spearheading a Green Revolution in Kenya by the youth, in the hopes that this shall spread across the continent. Our broad objectives in Agriculture and food security intervention include: 1) To transform the image of Agriculture in the eyes of the young generation, Exposing the youth to more than 1,000 diverse careers along the value chain through vibrant 4-H clubs in schools and within communities. 2) To focus youth innovations in technology to better catalyze the growth of a vibrant agribusiness sector, through business incubation, and strategic partnerships with research, academic and corporate partnerships. 3) To Promote smarter organization of the youth actors in the sector to enable youth enterprises to benefit from economies of scale and improved productivity 4) To develop youth to be responsible leaders who can champion solutions for various problems the Nation faces (e.g. Corruption, Youth Unemployment, Health e.t.c) 5) Address Policy gaps that form barriers to Youth in Agriculture, e.g. access to Land and Capital for Agribusiness. 6) To establish Agribusiness Mentorship Centres of excellence which transform the way communities understand and engage in Agribusiness
