Wide World Books & Maps, founded in 1976, has the unique distinction of being the first travel-only bookstore in the country. Since then we have continued to be home to a consortium of travel sages, inspired wanderers, book lovers and cartographic connoisseurs. In addition to a full range of guidebooks, we carry literature of interest to travelers, a comprehensive selection of maps, luggage, travel accessories and fascinating items from around the world. Located in the historic Wallingford district of Seattle, Washington our store is open from 10 to 7 Monday through Saturday, 10 to 6 on Sundays and anytime on the web. We host travel events on Tuesday evenings and travel discussion groups on Saturday mornings.
