Wholly owned and operated by Nurses Specialized in Wound, Ostomy, and Continence Canada (NSWOCC), The Wound, Ostomy, and Continence (WOC) Institute is an online continuing education resource which includes clinical preceptorship to support education for specialized nursing care in wound, ostomy and continence for Nurses and allied health professionals. Our tri-specialty is unique, and we strive to improve the lives of those patients cared for by wound, ostomy and continence nurses as well as support those healthcare professionals who have chosen this dynamic and evolving field through providing comprehensive education and skills-based training to improve their practices. We offer a host of educational programs which are run by our team of dedicated nurses who are Canadian Association of Nurses (CNA) certified Nurses Specialized in Wound Ostomy and Continence (NSWOC). Are you a bachelor's degree prepared Registered nurse & want to specialize in wound, ostomy and continence? WOC-EP is for you! The WOC-Institute’s flag ship program is our Wound Ostomy and Continence Education Program (WOC-EP). The WOC-EP is a state of the art paced online program which prepares BN/BScN’s for the role of a NSWOC. The final exam for the program is the CNA certification exam, which, upon achievement, enables the NSWOC to use the credential WOCC(C). Through the preceptorship component of the program we strive to mentor and grow tomorrows nurse leaders. For the non-degree RN/RPN/LPN or other allied health professionals we have developed our Skin Health Programs (Foundations in Skin and Wound Management, Foundations in Ostomy Management and Foundations in Continence Management). The Skin Health programs are offered two times per year online and are run over a 10-week period. These programs are also available upon request onsite to groups of 20 or more over a two-day intensive program. Both online and onsite programs are provided by experienced NSWOC’s.
