This business, including its name, was inspired by a little boy with Autism. And because of that we give back to helping kids with Autism. We offer apparel, corporate yoga, retreats and insight into the world of autism. Here is our story... At 4 years old, my son Luca was diagnosed with autism. At the time he had an obsession with letters (part of autism involves OCD type behaviors). He taught himself to read and was determined to learn every font. He was really frustrated when words were written on glass windows/doors. He couldn't understand how and why the letters would be in reverse when seen from the other side. After about a month of explaining it to him, I noticed him in our back yard writing LOVE on our garden boxes. But, as I looked closer, the LOVE was written completely in reverse. I came out to help him erase it and write it the 'right' way. He quickly stopped me and said, "Mama, I wrote it that way so the plants could read it from the inside". I froze. His way, was far more 'right' than my way. Why would I need to read LOVE when it was meant for the plants? In that moment, Luca shifted my perspective and helped me understand a little more about autism. It is simply a way of seeing the world differently.
