Locally Laid Egg Company
www.locallylaid.comLocally Laid Egg Company (LoLa) has thousands of hens foraging and excising on pastures in the Upper Midwest. Why is it important to have a salad-eating, poultry athlete? She’ll give you an egg with less cholesterol & fat, and more of the good stuff. That's why we stand by our tagline, Local Chicks are Better. In addition to providing high-quality eggs with exceptional flavor, Locally Laid is committed to the environment. LoLa was honored with a LABO Environmentally Engaged Entrepreneur Award last spring. Starting a business, especially a farm, is incredibly difficult. So to be called out for doing the right things like: – using solar power, – non-GMO corn, – planting a tree with every delivery & t-shirt sale (1,350 to date!) – establishing a carton return program, – and selling only American-made tees -printed locally, was the “atta chicken” LoLa needed to keep being her own bird. You can find our eggs in many retailers and restaurants in the Northland and Twin Cities. LoLa partners with another family in Iowa, passing on the knowledge of raising hens on pasture, and marketing their eggs under our label. Locally Laid also has a line of backyard chicken feed, LoLa's Layer Mix, which is sold in Northeastern Minnesota.
