The Buy Local Aberdeen Initiative aims to help with regeneration of the North East following an economic downturn. The Buy Local Aberdeen social media initiative was kicked off in November 2016, aiming to raise awareness of local businesses in the region and encourage North East citizens to 'use them or lose them'. It's clear that the voices of our local businesses are often lost in the noise of the big budget, bulk buying chains. An independent think tank found that twice your money is reinvested in your local economy when you spend your money with a local business. Buy Local's focus is to raise awareness of all local businesses and to help ensure business growth and circulation of your money around the North East. At a time of great uncertainty, it's critical we combine and maximise our efforts as a community to support the regeneration of the North East.
