Our mission is to preserve and promote Conjunto music through projects like collecting oral histories, digitizing analog recordings, connecting artists with professional and business resources, and presenting events like the Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival and other events throughout the year. Founder and host Baldomero “Frank” Cuellar also conducts audio interviews with artists, which he combines with the artist’s catalog to create episodes which are also available online at www.ranchoalegreradio.org. The Rancho Alegre Conjunto Festival, a multi-day festival that showcases conjunto music from legendary, veteran, and up-and-coming bands, has become one of Austin's favorite festivals and continues to grow year after year.
