SGL is a specialist Lloyd's of London Insurance Broking firm, that offers both wholesale and direct client services. We offer the more traditional classes of insurance for commercial clients (see our Specialties), though we have particular expertise with technology and professional services clients. We offer package solutions when available, or standalone covers when necessary, and also assist in arranging tailored schemes and binding authorities. We will consider Appointed Representative arrangements under certain circumstances. We have experience of setting up new Appointed Representatives, and of setting up Lloyd's coverholders including placing their binding authorities. We have specialist in-house expertise in arranging insurance solutions for the sharing economy. Through our Sybaris Legal & IP brand we also arrange bespoke Intellectual Property insurance under our own exclusive solution and/or with London / Lloyd's Insurers, with cover available for patents, trademarks, design rights, copyright, and trade secrets. We have our own in-house patent attorney, and we are as far as we are aware the only provider with a qualified patent attorney in-house. Our Directors and Team members have decades of experience, and particularly when your insurance requirements are complex or you are a new-startup we find that truly specialist expertise is essential.
